Dearborn County at a Glance
Dearborn County was formed in 1803 and named for Henry Dearborn, then the U.S. Secretary of War. Lawrenceburg, founded in 1802, is the county seat.
The county runs along the Ohio River in the southeast corner of Indiana. It mixes historic river towns, fast-growing suburbs and open farmland. Downtown Cincinnati is a short drive east.
That variety is exactly why one-size-fits-all cleaning doesn't work here. A historic brick home in Aurora, a 1990s subdivision in Bright and a farmhouse near Dillsboro all need different approaches.
Why Exterior Cleaning Matters in Dearborn County
The river. The Ohio River shapes everything here. Humid air off the water means algae, mildew and moss grow fast on siding, roofs and shady concrete.
The floods. The river has a long memory. The 1937 flood breached the Lawrenceburg levee and destroyed hundreds of homes. The rebuilt levee was finished in the 1940s and still protects downtown today. When high water comes up in low-lying areas, it leaves mud and silt behind.
The distilleries. Lawrenceburg and Greendale have been whiskey country since the 1800s. Near big barrel warehouses, a black "whiskey fungus" can grow on siding, roofs and poles. Regular soft washing keeps it under control.
The hills. Ridges and valleys create homes that are sun-baked on one side and shaded and damp on the other. That means faded stain on decks and green algae on north walls.

Plan Around the Dearborn County Calendar
Every June the Dearborn County Fair takes over the fairgrounds on East Eads Parkway in Lawrenceburg. That's also when graduation parties and summer cookouts hit. If you want the house and patio clean for guests, book in May.
In winter, people from all over the region head to Perfect North Slopes near Lawrenceburg for skiing and tubing. Winter is also when road salt and slush stain driveways and garage floors. Book a spring concrete cleaning to get that salt film off before it does more damage.
Fall is deck and fence season. Dry weather, mild temperatures and time for fresh stain to cure before the cold.
Real Work in Dearborn County

The photo at the top of this page is real. That's our crew running a surface cleaner on a concrete driveway. You can see the clean path forming right behind the machine.
A surface cleaner spins pressurized water under a round hood. It cleans concrete evenly, without the zebra stripes you get from a handheld wand. Then we rinse, and if you want, we seal.
Here's what Dearborn County homeowners call us for most:
- Driveways and sidewalks that have turned gray or black.
- Green algae and black mold on siding.
- Decks and fences that need a full strip, stain and seal.
- Black streaks on roofs.
- Storefronts that need to look sharp for customers.
